Graduating students at Musica Mundi School face several exciting challenges at the end of their final year. One of them is their final conducting exam. This took place yesterday, Tuesday, June 27th.
They all did well and who knows, maybe one day, one of them will choose this path as their artistic career.
… And presenting their Diploma Research!
These same graduating students have also spent the last year working on an extended research project into a musical topic of their choice – part of the requirement for their Musica Mundi School Diploma.
Topics this year included Brahms’ musical influence, the autobiographical features of Shostakovich’s 8th string quartet and Scriabin’s mystical work.
This research took lots of time, hard work and dedication from the students.
Their final work was presented orally in front of the school on June 12th and 13th.
The results were impressive!
Well done to all!!
